The Moroccan national team achieved an exciting victory over Portugal with a clean goal, in the match that brought them together at Al-Thumama Stadium during the quarter-final round of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The match was beyond expectations before Morocco’s stunning performance against Portugal. With this victory, Morocco became the first Arab and African team to qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup.

The goal match was scored by Youssef En-Nesyri in the 42nd minute, after a perfect cross from the left through Yahia Attiyat Allah into the penalty area, which was received by En-Nesyri with a wonderful header that slammed the ball into the net.
With this victory, Morocco qualified for the semi-finals, and will play against France which won their game against England on Saturday at the quarterfinal.
Portugal reached the quarter-finals after defeating Switzerland. While Morocco qualified for the same round after winning against Spain.
