Gamal and Alaa Mubarak were summoned to the Illicit Gains Authority for questioning on Sunday, following an investigation into charges they made fortunes incommensurate with their legal sources of income.
The new investigation came after regulatory authorities presented fresh evidence against the sons of deposed President Hosni Mubarak. They are set to appear again before the corruption authority head, Yehia Galal.
The two brothers are currently imprisoned pending the outcome of the investigations.
