Illegal immigration cases in Egypt at zero percent since 2016: Commander

Egypt’s Commander-in-chief of the Naval Forces Ahmed Khaled Hassan stated on Sunday that illegal immigration cases to Egypt have not been recorded since September 2016, according to UN reports.

Hassan added in an interview with “Homeland Shield” on “TeN” TV that the government is preparing for a new draft law aimed at preventing illegal immigration.

The naval forces maintain the country’s economic capabilities and the safety and integrity of the Egyptian people, he said, and secure sources of wealth after Egypt’s economic borders extended in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea.

Hassan pointed out that the naval forces have produced multi-tasking frigates, activating the naval forces’ strategy of local production.

A delegate of the Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprises Development Authority (MSMEDA) said on May that the government injected LE70 million to counter illegal immigration in three governorates as part of the implementation of the local development initiatives project.
