The Islamic World Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) signed a cooperation agreement with Al Azhar’s Center of Education Development for Envoys and Foreign Students.
The deal is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in education and culture, as well as offering scholarships by Al Azhar to the students from Muslim countries, according to a statement released by ICESCO on Friday.
After inking the agreement, Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed al-Tayyeb said in a phone call with ICESCO Director General Salim M. Al Malik that he was keen to enhance bilateral partnership in youth capacity-building and scholarships.
