A Siberian husky named Ice was selected among the most beautiful 10 heros in the world and became Egypt’s most beautiful dog in 2014. It was nominated to take part in the dogs world championship in the city of Milan, Italy.
Ice belongs to an Egyptian farm, which is the first one specialized in breeding the Siberian husky. The farm was the first to import and breed this type of dog in 2008.

Mazen Salem, the dog's coach and owner of the farm, says, “I started breeding the Siberian husky as a hobby eight years ago. I was highly criticized as these kinds of dogs are not used to the Egyptian weather. I decided to go through the experience and imported the first two dogs. I found out that they could get used to this weather.”
“I then decided to import and train the dogs instead of importing and then taking part in international competitions,” he adds. “I started to study their characteristics. I was able to breed and develop better dogs and tried as much as possible to avoid any genetic defect.”
“In its first competition in Egypt in 2014, Ice became the most beautiful dog,” he says adding that he also became the most beautiful dog locally and internationally in an international competition held in Egypt, where 380 dogs took part. Ice also became the most beautiful dog on an international scale in the Hurghada international competition in December 2014.
Salem adds that the titles given in competitions do not depend only on the look of the dogs, but also on training, mental and psychological health.
