The Red Sea Ports Authority decided to close the port of Hurghada due to bad weather and high winds on Thursday.
The media spokesman for the authority, Abdel Rehim Mostafa, said the reason the port was closed were waves between 3 and 4 meters high, and the wind speed, which reached 30 knots per hour.
