Hurghada bus crash leaves 5 dead

Five people were killed and another 38 injured when a public transportation bus overturned on the ring road near Hurghada on Tuesday morning.

Ten ambulances arrived at the scene and the victims were transported to Hurghada Public Hospital.

A tractor was used to remove bodies from the mangled vehicle.

The bus driver said he lost control of the steering wheel while making a turn. He claimed to be driving at 50km per hour and was fully alert when the accident happened.

A report was filed on the incident and authorities launched investigations into the cause of the crash.

Hurghada’s governor ordered payment of compensation to victims of the crash.
