The Arab Center for Tourism Media has stated that Hurghada is among the five top destinations for Arab tourists in 2015, competing with Fez in Morocco, Manama in Bahrain, Sharjah in the UAE and Hammamet in Tunisia.
The center will announce the number one destination at a press conference in Dubai next week, explaining that the cities that were chosen in the first stage of the competition were those that had achieved the highest growth rates in 2014, while in the second stage the winners are chosen by Arab journalists and tourism specialists.
The center said that the winning city will be the one that has an international airport and offers distinct services.
Dubai won the competition in 2012, Sharjah in 2013 and Salalah in Oman was the last year's winner.
