Humidity intensifies Friday’s extreme heat

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has forecast that Friday will see extremely hot and humid weather across most areas during the day.

Northern coastal regions will experience hot and humid conditions, while nights and early mornings will remain warm and humid.

High humidity levels will make the air feel 2 to 4 degrees Celsius hotter than the actual shaded temperature.

The EMA also warned of dense morning mist (fog) from 4 AM to 8 AM. This mist could be particularly thick on some roads leading to and from the northern coasts and the Nile Delta, affecting areas north of the country up to Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.

The EMA forecasts Greater Cairo to reach a high of 38C and a low of 28C on Friday.
