Housing Minister visits New Alamein city to follow up construction projects

Egypt’s Minister of Housing Assem al-Gazar met with contracting companies on Friday in the New Alamein city to follow up implementation of projects there, asserting that they must be completed according to the pre-defined schedule and with high quality.

New Alamein is set to become an important city at the Mediterranean Sea, the minister said, as it will attract residents with entertainment and residential, educational, and commercial activities.

Gazar visited the commercial and residential compound “Mazarita” at the beach area built on 700 acres, and inspected the five contracting companies which are constructing 10,000 residential apartments, villas, chalets, and different service and entertainment projects.

He also inspected the beach area and followed up the implementation rates for tower construction, which reached 34 floors in some towers.

Fifteen towers are being constructed, the Minister said, each of which contains 41 floors and 4500 units. He explained that the second stage will include the construction of another ten beach towers.

Gazar also visited the entertainment area on the Mediterranean Sea, containing a garage of 3,000 cars, a small hotel, and several shops. Competition rates reached 65 percent, and some units will be rented with the usufruct rental system.
