The Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced the weather forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with hot weather anticipated in the north and very hot weather for the south.
Meteorologists expect that moderate weather will prevail on the northern coasts, with hot and humid weather in Cairo and Lower Egypt andĀ very hot weather in the south.
High humidity will increase the feeling of heat in Cairo and Lower Egypt.
Winds are expected to be moderate and active on the northwestern coasts, with mist in the morning on the northern coasts, Cairo and Lower Egypt.
Moderate rains are expected which will be heavy and sometimes thunderous, at a 30 percent rate in separate areas of central and southern Sinai.
Friday sees a 10 percent chance of light rain in various parts of Cairo.
On Saturday, moderate rains are expected in northern Upper Egypt, with heavy rain and thunderstorms at a rate of 30 percent and light rain in parts of southern Upper Egypt at a rate of 20 percent.
On Sunday, light rain is expected in northern and southern Upper Egypt at a rate of 20 percent.
Maximum temperatures predicted on Friday are 31C in Alexandria, 36C at Cairo, Qena 41C, Luxor 42C and Aswan 44C.
The maximum and minimum humidity rates predicted are: Cairo and Lower Egypt (85 – 33), the northern coasts (90 – 45), northern Upper Egypt (60 – 22), and southern Upper Egypt (10-30).
On Saturday, maximum temperatures predicted are 32C at the northwestern coasts, 33C at the northeastern coasts and central Sinai, 37C at Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, 40C at northern Upper Egypt, 41C at South Sinai and Red Sea mountain ranges, and 44C at south Upper Egypt.
The maximum and minimum humidity rates are: Greater Cairo (24-83), Lower Egypt (80-30), northwestern coasts (45-88), northeastern and central Sinai (45-90) coasts, South Sinai and the Red Sea mountain ranges (70-30), north Upper Egypt (60-22), and south Upper Egypt (40-14).
On Sunday, the maximum temperatures predicted areĀ 31C at the northwestern coasts, 37C at Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, 32C at the northeastern coasts and central Sinai, 41C at South Sinai, Red Sea mountains and northern Upper Egypt, and south Upper Egypt 45C.
