Hot weather expected for Sunday, Cairo 31C

 

Meteorologists anticipate hot weather to continue on Sunday across Egypt.

Milder temperatures are expected along the north coast, with the hottest temperatures in southern Upper Egypt during daylight hours, cooling down by night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 28C in Alexandria, 31C in Cairo, 35C in Qena, 37C in Luxor, and 39C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts in the morning. Low-level clouds are expected in the north, accompanied by rainfall in the far west.

Winds are expected to be northwestern and moderate. It will be active on the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate and range between 1 to 1.5  meters in height.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and range between 2 to 2.5 meters in height.

Surface winds will be northwestern on both seas.
