Hot temperatures forecast for Sunday across Egypt

Egypt’s meteorologists predict increasing temperatures on Sunday, with high temperatures dominating Lower Egypt, Cairo and north of Upper Egypt. Very hot weather is expected South of Upper Egypt in the daylight, while temperatures  across the country will grow mild at night.

Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are 30C in Matrouh, 31C in Alexandria, 37C in Cairo and 39C in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Mist will affect visibility in the morning on northern parts of the country, with low and medium-level clouds anticipated.

Winds will be mostly northeastern and moderate, active on South Sinai and north of Upper Egypt and disturb maritime navigation on Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between one to 1.5 meters in height while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and range between two to 2.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
