Meteorologists predict moderately hot and humid weather on Monday during the daytime on Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate weather on the northern coasts and very hot weather for South Sinai and Upper Egypt.
The weather will grow moderate at night on Upper Egypt and South Sinai, while mild on Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northern coasts.
Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 32C in Alexandria, 35C in Cairo, 43C in Qena, 45C in Luxor and Aswan.
Mists are expected during the morning on Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts.
Winds will be northwestern and moderate across most parts of Egypt.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected on South Sinai and Red Sea mountains, while moderate rainfall is anticipated over different parts of Upper Egypt.
Maximum and minimum humidity levels are: 45-88 on the northern coasts, 30-80 at Cairo and Lower Egypt, 22-60 in northern Upper Egypt, and 14-30 at southern Upper Egypt.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that the country is currently being affected by the Indian summer monsoon, which is typical every summer and makes the country’s weather hotter and more humid.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between one and 1.75 meters in height. Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height.
