Meteorologists predict hot and humid weather on Monday during the daytime on Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate weather on the northern coasts and very hot weather on Upper Egypt.
The weather will grow mild across the country by nightfall, and moderate on Upper Egypt.
Mists are expected during the morning hours on Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts. Light rainfall is expected in different parts in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 31C in Alexandria, 36C in Cairo, 43C in Qena and Luxor, and 44C in Aswan.
Maximum and minimum humidity levels are: 55-90 on the northern coasts, 35-80 at Cairo and Lower Egypt, 20-65 in northern Upper Egypt, and 10-35 at southern Upper Egypt.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that the country is currently being affected by the Indian summer monsoon, which is typical every summer and makes the country’s weather hotter and more humid.
Winds will be northwestern and moderate across most of Egypt, active on South Sinai, disrupting maritime navigation in the Gulf of Suez.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height. Waves Red Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height.
Surface winds will be northwestern on both seas.
