Hot, humid weather across Egypt on Monday

Meteorologists predict moderately hot and humid weather on Monday in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate weather on the northern coasts and very hot weather in Upper Egypt.

Temperatures will be milder at night in most parts of the country, with moderate weather in Upper Egypt.

Morning mist is expected for the northern coasts, Cairo and Lower Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 30C in Alexandria, 35C in Cairo, 41C in Qena, Luxor, and 42C in Aswan.

Winds are expected to be moderate, active in Greater Cairo.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority said that the country is still being affected by the Indian summer monsoon, which makes the weather hotter and more humid.

Expected minimum and maximum humidity levels are: Cairo and Lower Egypt 30-85 percent, the northern coasts 45-88 percent, northern Upper Egypt 22-65 percent, and southern Upper Egypt 18-35 percent.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds over both seas.
