Meteorologists predict hot and humid weather on Monday during the daytime on Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt, with moderately hot weather on the northeastern coasts, moderate weather on the northwestern coasts, and very hot weather on southern Upper Egypt.
By nightfall the weather will grow mild across most of the country, and moderate on South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 30C in Alexandria, 36C in Cairo, 39C in Qena, 40C in Luxor and Aswan.
Mists are expected during the morning hours on Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts. Winds will be northwestern and moderate across most parts of Egypt.
Maximum and minimum humidity levels are: 45-88 on the northern coasts, 26-75 at Cairo and Lower Egypt, 20-45 in northern Upper Egypt, and 12-27 at southern Upper Egypt.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that the country is currently being affected by the Indian summer monsoon, which is typical every summer and makes the country’s weather hotter and more humid.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between one and 1.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds over both seas.
