Hot, humid weather to continue through Thursday

Meteorologists are predicting hot, humid weather in Cairo on Thursday, with a top temperature of 38 degrees centigrade.
 
Similar conditions are expected in the north of Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt.
 
Moderate weather is expected along the north coast, with highs of 31 degrees in Alexandria.
 
Upper Egypt should be much hotter, with 41 degrees in Qena, 41 in Luxor and 42 in Aswan.
 
In Sharm el-Sheikh, the maximum temperature will be 38 degrees and in Hurghada 41.
 
Mist will affect visibility in the morning along the north coast, Cairo, the Suez Canal cities and Lower Egypt. Low and medium-level clouds are expected in the far south of the country, possibly accompanied by rainfall.
 
The wind will be mostly moderate and northwesterly. It will be active in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation.
 
Waves on the Mediterranean are expected to average between 1.5 and 2 meters high, while the Red Sea will see waves of between 2 and 2.5 meters, with a northwesterly surface wind on both seas.
