Meteorologists are predicting hot, humid weather in Cairo on Friday with a top temperature of 37 degrees centigrade.
Similar conditions are expected in the north of Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt.
Moderate weather is expected along the north coast, with highs of 32 degrees in Alexandria.
Upper Egypt should be much hotter, with 42 degrees in Qena, 42 in Luxor and 43 in Aswan.
In Sharm el-Sheikh, the maximum temperature will be 39 degrees and in Hurghada 42.
Mist will affect visibility in the morning along the north coast, Cairo, the Suez Canal cities and Lower Egypt. Low level clouds are expected along the north coast.
The wind will be mostly moderate and northwesterly. It will be active in South Sinai, the south of Upper Egypt, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation.
Waves on the Mediterranean are expected to average between 1.5 and 2 meters high, while the Red Sea will see waves of between 2 and 2.5 meters, with a northwesterly surface wind on both seas.
