Meteorologists predict hot and humid weather on Tuesday across the northwestern coasts, Cairo and Lower Egypt during the daytime, with moderately hot weather on the northeaster coasts, hot weather on northern Upper Egypt and South Sinai, and very hot weather south of Upper Egypt.
By nightfall the weather will grow mild across most of the country, and moderate on South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 32C in Alexandria, 36C in Cairo, 40C in Qena, and 41C in Luxor and Aswan.
Mists are expected during the morning hours on Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts. Winds will be moderate and almost active on Cairo and South Sinai.
Maximum and minimum humidity levels are: 45-90 on the northern coasts, 22-75 at Cairo and Lower Egypt, 18-44 in northern Upper Egypt, and 12-27 at southern Upper Egypt.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that the country is currently being affected by the Indian summer monsoon, which is typical every summer and makes the country’s weather hotter and more humid.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate, ranging between one and 1.5 meters in height while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters, with northwestern surface winds over both seas.
