Egypt’s meteorologists predict hot weather on Lower Egypt, Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and the northwestern coasts on Sunday, with higher temperatures expected on southern Upper Egypt during the daylight, growing milder throughout by night.
Maximum temperatures expected for the following cities are 32C in Alexandria, 33C in Cairo, 37C in Qena and Luxor, and 38C in Aswan.
Mild weather is also expected along the northeastern coasts.
Mist will affect visibility in the morning from the country’s northern parts. Low- and medium-level clouds will cover most parts.
Winds will be northwestern and moderate. They will be active on South Sinai, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, disrupting maritime navigation there.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate and range between one and 1.5 meters. While waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and range between one and 2.5 meters. Northwestern surface winds are expected on both seas.
