Hot and humid weather to continue on Saturday

Meteorologists are predicting hot, humid weather on Saturday in Cairo and Lower Egypt, with top a temperature of 38 degrees centigrade in Cairo.

Moderate weather is expected along the northeastern coast, with highs of 32 degrees in Alexandria, and milder weather is expected along the northwestern coast.

Upper Egypt should by much hotter, with 42 degrees in Qena, and 43 in Luxor and 44 in Aswan. It's expected to be milder in the evening.

In Sharm el-Sheikh, the maximum temperature will be 41 degrees and in Hurghada 43.

A morning mist could mean low visibility early along the north coast, in Lower Egypt, the Suez Canal cities and in Cairo.

Low- to medium-level cloud cover is forecast for the north.

The wind will be mostly moderate and northwesterly. It will be active in the west and in the Red and Mediterranean Seas, possibly disrupting navigation.

Waves on the Mediterranean are expected to average between 1.5 and 2 meters high, while the Red Sea will see waves of between 2 and 2.5 meters, with a northwesterly surface wind on both seas.
