Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Ayman Ashour met with FAO Representative in Egypt Nasredin Hag Elamin to discuss ways of boosting bilateral relations.
During the meeting, Ashour underlined the strength of ties binding Egypt and FAO in the various spheres, especially in the areas related to agriculture and modern food systems.
The minister, meanwhile, referred to the importance of boosting the role of universities in conducting scientific researches related to agriculture spheres.
For his part, the FAO official welcomed cooperation with the scientific research ministry, the Egyptian universities and the research centers on issues of mutual interest.
