Health Ministry Undersecretary in Qalyubia Dr. Mohamed Lachin said the Hepatitis C drug “Olysio,” which is an alternative to “Interferon” and a complement to “Sovaldi,” will be available at the Liver Center as of next Sunday, adding that procedures for disbursing the drug are still being discussed.
Lachin asked patients to register their data on the Internet to book for the treatment.
He said the price of the drug at private pharmacies is LE9,700 pounds, while the subsidized price at public health centers is LE2,000.
