Tunisia actress Hend Sabry said she has started working on her new movie called “Zahret Halab” and that filming will start soon.
“The film tackles the sexual jihad issue. I play a role of a journalist that uncovers what women endure of sexual abuse that humiliate their humanity as well as dignity,” Sabry told Al-Masry Al-Youm.
The move's theme has been inspired by countries where such abuse takes place under the cover of religion like in Syria and Tunisia, she said. The movie also tackles destiny of children brought from such relations as well as their legal situations.
The movie will bring Sabry back to the Tunisian cinema after seven years of absence, she said.
Sabry said she will opt out of acting in series during Ramadan in 2015 to take some rest and pay more attention to cinema.
