Meteorologists in Egypt expect cold winter weather to prevail on Sunday for the northern parts of the country up into northern Upper Egypt; warmer temperatures are predicted in southern Upper Egypt, turning to very cold at night and reaching frost levels in central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.
Low- and medium-lying clouds are expected to continue, increasing on the northern parts of the country accompanied by heavy rainfall on the northern coast, moderate on Cairo, North and central Sinai until the northern part of Upper Egypt.
Winds are mostly northwesterly, active on the northern coasts and southern Upper Egypt, leading to disruption of navigation in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.
Maximum temperatures expected on Sunday: in Cairo, 17 degrees; Alexandria, 16 degrees; Luxor, 18 degrees; and Aswan, 18 degrees.
