Egypt is currently witnessing drops in weather temperatures at night as a result of active wind that increases the feeling of low temperatures.
On Friday however temperatures will rise and continue on till Saturday hitting the peak of a heat wave on Sunday, Manar Ghanem, a member of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority’s media center, said.
Ghanem explained, during a phone call to “Good Morning Egypt” program, broadcast on the State TV channels, that temperature will reach 35C in Greater Cairo.
According to Ghanem, the heat wave will end in the middle of next week.
Temperature will continue to fluctuate until the end of May.
She added that Greater Cairo hit 28C on Thursday as mild air masses are coming from the Mediterranean Sea from southern Europe.
Starting from Sunday mist will reappear, she pointed out.
