The minister checked on the readiness of medical teams at all hospitals, as well as the availability of adequate stocks of medicines and medical supplies, Spokesman for the Health and Population Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.
Abdel Ghaffar also checked on the availability of adequate blood stocks at the ministry’s affiliated blood banks nationwide, reviewing also ambulance service reports over the past two days.
He also checked on ambulance units deployed to public areas, and near churches and places of worship, the spokesman pointed out, noting that the ministry’s plan offers about 3,621 road ambulance units, along with 12 river boat ambulance units.
The room is operating around the clock to ensure the medical security plan is properly executed and necessary technical support is provided at all medical facilities, the spokesman said.
After the meeting, the minister inspected the central room for preventive services to check on the application of a ministerial disease monitoring program, the spokesman added.
