The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, a successful theme park attraction at Universal Studio's Orlando and Osaka locations, is set to open at Universal Studios Hollywood in Spring 2016.
A replica of wizardry school Hogwarts will contain well-received theme park ride "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey" which, in this instance, will be a 3D experience.
In its current incarnation, the indoor amusement ride has been voted Best Dark Ride at the annual Golden Ticket Awards since 2011.
The less extreme "Flight of the Hippogriff" is also confirmed for installation, marking the first time that Universal Studios Hollywood accommodates an outdoor coaster.
Other sections of the Harry Potter area will continue the in-fiction motif, with shops and restaurants to include Honeydukes, Ollivanders, Zonko's Joke Shop, The Hog's Head and The Three Broomsticks.
