Hans Zimmer’s Dubai concert film ‘Diamond in the Desert’ coming to cinemas in March

The unparalleled musical genius of Hans Zimmer takes center stage in “Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert, a cinematic journey filled with magic and captivating storytelling.

From “Dune” and “Gladiator” to “Interstellar” and “The Lion King”, this special global event captures an extraordinary live performance of a vast selection of Zimmer’s acclaimed works.

The music of decades of cinematic masterpieces fills the air as Hans Zimmer’s band and a world-class orchestra take the stage at Dubai’s iconic Coca-Cola Arena, the breathtaking Al Wasl Plaza dome at Expo City Dubai, and more.

Against the backdrop of the Arabian Desert’s timeless dunes and the iconic Burj Al Arab’s majestic silhouette, these performances create an intimate and unforgettable journey through Zimmer’s most cherished film soundtracks.

Not only is this Zimmer’s first entertainment special, but the Dubai production also marks the first time he has officially collaborated with a destination.

Zimmer’s sojourn in Dubai led to the creation of “Diamond in the Desert,” a new musical work representing a further unprecedented accomplishment in his distinguished career.

Featuring conversations with Billie Eilish, Sir Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Finneas, Jerry Bruckheimer, Johnny Marr, Pharrell Williams, Tanya Lapointe, Timothée Chalamet, and Zendaya, and directed by Emmy-winning and multi-Grammy nominated Paul Dugdale, with Jerry Bruckheimer serving as Executive Producer, the film offers unique insights into Zimmer’s creative process. It uncovers the inspiration fueling his creativity and the stories woven into his closest collaborations.

The UAE will get an exclusive preview of “Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert” with limited screenings in select cinemas beginning Wednesday, March 19. The film will then be released in other Middle Eastern countries.
