The spokesperson for the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced on Friday that “resistance fighters have completely or partially destroyed 21 military vehicles of the Israeli occupation army on all fighting fronts in the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.”
He added in a statement reported by media outlets on Friday that: “The barbaric bombing of Gaza areas caused the death and injury of a number of Zionist prisoners.”
He continued: “We targeted the invading Zionist forces and vehicles and clashed with them from zero distance, causing deaths and injuries. We targeted military concentrations with mortar shells and short-range missiles, and directed missile salvos towards Tel Aviv and other targets.”
“We thwarted an attempt to free the captured soldier Sa’ar Baruch, which led to his death and the death and injury of other prisoners due to the barbaric bombing of the Gaza areas.”
