Cairo authorities have arrested a group of three men and a woman who impersonated police officers to rob Sudanese and Syrian nationals in New Cairo.
The defendants are a lawyer, a bodybuilding coach, a driver and a female student.
According to investigations, the defendants stopped a mechanic named Mostafa A., forced him to get into their car and stole his mobile phone. They also stopped Sudanese national Nagi A. and asked him to lead them to his house. The defendants inspected the house, stole two mobile phones and LE1,130.
The defendants have confessed to committing the crimes during interrogation.
