A high-ranking government official said that a governors' reshuffle will take place on Tuesday when the new executives will be sworn in before President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
"Army and police major generals will be heading 12 governorates, because of the need for decisiveness to control the new prices on the market," according to the official. "Sisi will meet the newly-appointed officials after they are sworn in."
"The new officials will have to focus on interacting with citizens in the street and addressing the problem of price hikes after the increase in fuel prices," he added. "The reshuffle will include appointing deputy governors in major governorates like Cairo, Giza, and Alexandria."
