The National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) has condemned Egypt's controversial protest law, claiming that the government ignored the organization's recommendations before passing the law on Sunday.
The council said in a statement released on Monday that the new law only took into consideration a single note sent by the NCHR to the Cabinet, on the prevention of political activity in places of worship.
