The cabinet approved a new contract for Al-Waleed bin Talal’s land in Toshka. The property is owned by the prince’s company Kingdom for Agricultural Development.
According to the contract, the company would own 10,000 acres and lease another 15,000 acres on a usufruct basis.
In related news, Minister of Manpower Ahmed al-Borai on Thursday said Egypt was dropped from the blacklist of the International Labour Organization when the government approved establishing 26 independent trade unions.
The minister also said Egypt would benefit from the organization’s collective bargaining program, worth US$15 million.
