Gold prices on Monday saw a slight increase with the beginning of trade on the global stock exchange, reaching its highest level in two and a half months.
Gold prices in Egypt stabilized at the beginning of the day, amid expectations of a slight rise.
Gold prices in Egypt:
The Gold Division at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce announced Monday morning that the price of 24-carat gold ranged between LE 904 and LE 906, while the price of 21-carat gold – the most prevalent in Egypt – ranged between LE792 and LE794.
The price of the 18-carat gold ranged between LE678 and LE 680.
Goldsmith’s fees which vary from one place to another and ranges between LE30 and LE 70 are excluded from the above mentioned prices.
The price of the gold pound ranged between LE 6,336 and LE 6,352.
Gold prices globally on Monday morning:
Gold prices rose globally, highest level in two and a half months, as gold rose in spot trading by 0.1 percent to US$1827.82 an ounce, while gold futures contracts for December delivery fell 0.2 percent to $1829.60 an ounce.
Gold prices previously witnessed a significant rise on Friday after the release of US unemployment data.
The price of 21-carat gold in the financial markets recorded LE806.81 and the ounce recorded $1,826.46.
