The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation announced that several Go-Now systems were affected by the global technical outage, and other alternative systems were activated in place.
It explained that this caused some delays, averaging no more than two hours.
This came during a press statement issued by the ministry after monitoring the breakdown of several technical systems and its impact on civil aviation traffic globally.
Fifteen out of 609 flights in all Egyptian airports were delayed, the ministry said, adding that Egyptian airlines maintained their regular operating schedules.
Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh al-Hafni is closely following the situation from the main operations room of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, the statement said, in order to determine the repercussions of this global crisis and deal with any developments.
