The Egyptian Center for Economic Studies will announce the results of the Global Competitiveness Report for 2015-2016 on Wednesday.
Director Sherif al-Diwany said in a statement on Tuesday that the center will review Egypt's competitive position in light of what has been achieved in institutional and economic reforms over the past year, which have led to improved credit ratings for Egypt.
He said the center will also discuss the implications of the report on the 2030 strategy for sustainable development in Egypt, the competitiveness of the Egyptian private sector and shortcomings that have a negative impact on Egypt’s competitiveness in the future.
Egypt’s position dropped in the report over the past five years.
