The German Foreign Ministry has modified traveling instructions to Egypt, referring to the calm situation in the governorates of Luxor, Aswan and cities stretching along the Nile, allowing travel to the Sinai Peninsula as well.
A statement by Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Monday said, “easing travel bans crowns efforts by Egyptian embassy in Berlin with German officials, travel and tourism agencies and media to promote and support Egyptian tourism and assure situations have been enhanced.”
The move coincides with a visit organized by the Egyptian embassy in Germany of 66 persons including tourism writers, tourism agents and representatives of German aviation and tourism companies to Luxor in September, besides another visit to Aswan by group of journalists and tourism officials to Aswan, who attended the annual event of sun passing over face of King Ramses II.
