Security authorities in Hurghada found a German tourist dead in her bathroom.
Security sources said Monika Missal, 56, was found dead in the bathroom of her apartment, located in a tourist area in the city.
The dead woman had been visiting Hurghada for five years and arrived for her latest visit two weeks ago.
According to preliminary investigations there were no signs of beating or violence to her body. The apartment door was found open with no signs of a break-in or a robbery.
Mohamed Taha, the head of Hurghada Prosecution, sent a medical examiner to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. He also gave orders to notify the German Embassy of the incident.
