Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi met with Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Kotsiras on the sidelines of her participation in the World Conference of Cyprus Diaspora.
Gendi said progress has been achieved in developing joint programs for youth and expats from Egypt, Greece and Cyprus, with the aim of reviving shared roots, history and culture.
The minister made the remarks during a meeting with Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Kotsiras on the sidelines of her participation in the World Conference of Cyprus Diaspora.
Gendi’s participation in the conference aims to boost cooperation among Egypt, Cyprus and Greece in all fields of common interest.
The event seeks to probe a set of proposals and mutual agreements in the domains of migration, tourism and investment, the minister said.
She highlighted the significance of promoting aspects of cooperation within the framework of “Reviving Roots” initiative through launching more subordinate initiatives on youth and tourism.
