Gas leak nearly suffocates 11 children in Cairo swimming pool

Eleven Egyptian children nearly suffocated in a swimming pool at the Public Transport Authority Club in the Old Cairo area on Saturday.

Security services and ambulances moved to the scene, where examinations revealed that the cause of the accident was a chlorine gas leak from the swimming pool.

Egyptian media reported that the injured children were between the ages of four and 12.

A case was filed on the incident and the Public Prosecution was notified to take over investigations.
