The police on Sunday launched a security campaign in the streets of Cairo and other governorates.
The campaign resulted in the arrests of six gangs specialized in stealing cars, 65 fugitives and seven thugs carrying unlicensed weapons.
The campaign also arrested street vendors and closed down a number of unlicensed shops.
The police were helped by citizens, who informed them of places where drug dealers were hiding.
