Security source from Giza security department said a fuel tank of a car exploded early on Monday on al-Bahr al-Aazam street in Giza district, which caused smashing a facade of a well-known store on the street.
Explosive experts inspected the scene of the large explosion and discovered that a car’s fuel tank had exploded. Security troops combed the area in search for bombs, but did not find any evidence of suspicious criminal activity. Authorities believe the explosion could have been caused by accident.
The car belonged to an elderly woman living in the area.
