Friday weather forecast – Cairo: 33C, Alexandria: 31C

 

Meteorologists expect moderate weather along Egypt’s northern coast this Friday, and hot weather for Cairo and Upper Egypt. The hottest temperatures will prevail south of Upper Egypt in the morning, growing milder at night.

Temperatures predicted include 33C in Cairo, 31C in Alexandria, 38C in Qena, 39C in Luxor, and 40C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility in Egypt’s northern parts, in the morning.

Low to medium-level clouds are expected over the north, possibly accompanied by rain along the western coast and South Sinai.

Northweasterly winds are anticipated to be moderate, and particularly active in the country’s southern parts and South Sinai, raising sands and dusts.

Winds also will be active on Suez Gulf and the Red Sea, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1 and 1.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be rough and range between 3 and 3.5 meters. Northwesterly surface winds are predicted over both seas.
