The Freedom and Justice Party has announced a new campaign, “Save the President’s Program,” in support of President Mohamed Morsy’s 100-day plan, which aims to solve problems such as traffic, cleanliness and power and water shortages.
The party’s youth members will coordinate with youth from other political parties and Interior Ministry leaders to direct traffic in Giza and Cairo, according to Saad Omara of the party’s Shura Council.
Mokhtar Al-Ashry, head of the FJP’s legal committee, added that other new mechanisms will also be implemented to solve traffic congestion.
Ashry said the party’s initial plan to deal with cleanliness involves increasing the number of trash cans in the streets. Young party members will start cleaning the streets throughout the Cairo and Giza districts next Friday and Saturday.
The campaign will also work on improving and regulating the quality and distribution of bread, and will also coordinate with executive and security entities throughout the governorates to address various other issues.
