Free entry to museums, archaeological sites on Sinai Liberation Day

Antiquities Minister Khaled Hanafy announced that museums and archaeological sites would open to the public for free on Tuesday, the 35th anniversary of the liberation of Sinai.

Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan announced earlier on Monday that Tuesday April 25 would be an official occasion for both public and private sector workers.

Sinai Liberation Day is celebrated in Egypt on April 25 every year, corresponding with Israel's withdrawal from the Sinai peninsula following defeat in the 1973 War and the signing of Camp David Accords.
