Four Salafi Muslims have been detained for suspected involvement in the New Year's Eve Alexandria church bombing, security sources said.
The suicide attack in front of the Church of St. Peter and St. Mark claimed 23 lives and injured 95.
Al-Masry Al-Youm learned that basis for the arrests were witness accounts taken two days before. Police forces stormed the suspects' houses and interrogated them before taken the four to Cairo for further questioning.
The sources said security staff continue to comb the city for links to the man whose corpse was found at the blast scene and who is suspected to have carried out the attack.
