The public prosecutor in Sogah, Upper Egypt, has ordered the detention of four people after a fight between two familes, one Muslim and one Christian, according to judicial sources.
Two people are reported injured in the fight, which is thought to be connected with a relationship between a young Muslim man and a Christian girl.
Security forces, in cooperation with the armed forces, imposed a heavy security presence in the city to prevent any escalation of the violence.
