Four minors killed after truck collides with bikes in Giza road

A collision between a truck-trailer and two bikes occurred in Giza’s al-Abyad Road, resulting in the death of four people under the age of 17 and the injury of a fifth person.

The security services in Giza Governorate arrested the driver accused of the run-over accident, and the security authorities referred him to the Public Prosecution.

The Egyptian Public Prosecution decided to detain the driver for four days pending investigations, on charges of killing four students, the oldest of whom was under 17 years old, by running them over by mistake and injuring their fifth friend.

The prosecution requested a drug test for the accused to determine whether he had consumed any intoxicants while driving or not.

The prosecution also decided to authorize the burial of the victims, after it became clear through the apparent medical checkup that death resulted from fractures, abrasions and bruises in various parts of the body.
